Née en 1982 d’origine anglo-américaine, Vanessa Olink grandit à Monaco. Très jeune, elle découvrira un univers artistique divers dans des lieux tels que St Rémy de Provence ou St Paul de Vence. A l’obtention de son baccalauréat elle décide de s’orienter vers un métier artistique. Sa formation débutera à Marymount Manhattan à New York puis à Parsons à Paris. Ceci débouchera par la suite sur un poste de gérante d’une collection d’art privé sur la côte d’azur. Mais cela ne lui suffit pas, la peinture a toujours fait partie de sa vie et poussé par son entourage, elle décide de se consacrer entièrement à ses propres créations.
Nourri par ses multiples voyages elle sera plongé dans des cultures très diversifiées. Inspiré des couleurs chaudes du Maroc et de l’orient, ses œuvres débordent de vivacité. Nourri par la culture pop art du 2Oème siècle, elle s’amuse à jouer de l’histoire et de la politique américaine, transformant ainsi des évènements négatif en des toiles reflétant du positif. Vanessa considère ses tableaux comme des représentations de rêves, des palettes de couleurs qui transportent l’imagination et transforme les humeurs…

Born in 1982 with an Anglo-American background, Vanessa Olink grew up in Monaco. From a very young age, she discovers through places such as St Remy de Provence and St Paul de Vence, a diversified artistic world. Her high school diploma in hand, she decides to orientate herself toward a career in the fine arts. Her studies begin at Marymount Manhattan in New York and continue at Parson in Paris; thus leading to a job as manager of a private art collection in the south of France. However, this does not satisfy her artistic senses, painting being such a large part of her life. Pushed by a variety of people she decides to solely focus on her personal creations.
Through her numerous travels, she is immersed into a variety of cultures; stimulated by the warm colours of Morocco and the Orient, her work overflows with vivacity. Inspired by the Pop art culture of the 20th century, she plays with American history and politics; thus transforming negative events into positive art. Vanessa considers her work to be representations of dreams, a pallet of colours that transport our imaginations and transform our moods.
